IfL contributes to the session "UNIVERSITY: 'Left Behind Places' – Findings of a Cross-National Study" at EURegionsWeek 2023
The term "left-behind places" has emerged as a topic of great interest to researchers and policy-makers, focusing particularly on regions in post-industrial transition. In the session "UNIVERSITY: "'Left Behind Places' - Findings of a Cross-National Study" chaired by Danny MacKinnon (Newcastle), Tim Leibert (IfL, Leipzig), Sanne Velthuis (Newcastle) and Nora Nafaa (Strasbourg) will present the results of a cross-national research project on "left-behind regions" in France, Germany and the United Kingdom (read more).
Cohesion policy is the focus of the annual EURegionsWeek held in Brussels. The 21st edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities will take place from 9 to 12 October 2023 under the theme "Thriving Regions, Stronger Europe."
