The EU-funded research and training network "Social enterprises in structurally weak rural areas - RurAction" will conclude with an international web conference on 21-22 September 2020. On 23 September, scientists from the RurAction project will discuss with politicians and social entrepreneurs in a roundtable event.
The conference will focus on socio-economic problems and approaches to solutions in peripheral rural regions, especially with regard to social enterprises. Thilo Lang is actively involved in the programme as moderator of the discussion on the keynote of the British economist Mark Sucksmith and Sunna Kovanen as co-presenter of a presentation on social enterprises in Bulgaria.

The organiser of the virtual conference is the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space, which is responsible for the scientific coordination in the RurAction project.
