Lecture by Markus Sattler at the "Pochen"-Symposium in Chemnitz
In the press and in media articles, we read about different terms that attempt to describe the Eastern European region in various contexts. But what unites or divides these terms? Who is talking about whom and with what intention? In his lecture at the "Pochen" symposium, IfL researcher Markus Sattler will approach a fragmented conceptual landscape (Sunday, 8 October, 2 pm | Wirkbau Chemnitz, Halle F | how to get there).
Every two years, the "Pochen" symposium and the biennial use visual and audio-visual forms of expression in multimedia art to explore contemporary historical themes that move and shape people in the Chemnitz region and Germany. At the fourth edition of the symposium from 5 to 8 October, particular attention will be paid to the local and global challenges in Eastern Europe.
