How do we deal with our colonial past?

In the anthology "Koloniale Spuren in den Archiven der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft" (Colonial Traces in the Archives of the Leibniz Association), experts from eleven archives of institutions of the Leibniz Association address the topic of "colonialism" from very different perspectives.

The contributions cover a wide range of topics, from early colonial Africa research and postcolonial ideas in the context of a technocratic mega-project to the anti-colonial movements of the 1960s in West Germany, urban planning activities of GDR architecture in the young nation states and a critical examination of the topic. IfL-Archive Director Heinz Peter Brogiato co-edited the book and contributed a contribution on Hans Meyer.
