IfL female scientists accepted into the Leibniz Association's mentoring programme

Our IfL colleagues Sofia Gavrilova and Bettina Bruns have successfully applied as mentees for the new round of Leibniz Mentoring.

Sofia Gavrilova has been working as a scientist at the IfL in the research area "Geovisualisations" since August 2020. She holds a PhD in Human Geography from Oxford University and a PhD in GIS and Cartography from Moscow State University. She also holds a master's degree in Contemporary Art. Learn more

Bettina Bruns is deputy coordinator of the IfL research group "Geographies of Belonging and Difference". From 2011 to 2020, the sociologist with a PhD headed a Schumpeter junior research group at the IfL. Learn more

The mentoring programme of the Leibniz Association promotes the best scientific talents and accompanies them on their further career path. Eligibility criteria are excellent achievements in research and the manifest goal of acquiring a leadership position.
